There is currently A LEGISLATIVE REQUIREMENT for all Coaches and Managers to hold a current BLUE CARD.

Coaches the team.

The basic function of a Manager is to help with the organisation of the team, leaving the Coach free to coach the team.
At Training:
Coach: Coach the team, adhering to the Codes of Behaviour and apply coaching as per coaches courses. Report any incident or injury.
Responsible for:
- unlocking field at the beginning of training (including toilets so arrive early)
- locking field at the end of training (including toilets if no other team is training)
Manager: Advise/remind players of time and venue of the next game, emphasising that they should be at the grounds 30 minutes before kickoff. Advise the Coach of any absentees for the next match. Speak with parents after checking Line Marking Schedule to ensure parents are attending if you are rostered for the weekend. (send in this to Line Marking Coordinator). Report any incident or injury.
Helps the coach :
- unlock the field at the beginning of training (including toilets so arrive early)
- lock the field at the end of training (including toilets if no other team is training)
Take To Match:
Manager:
- Sliced oranges (organise a roster for parents)
- Spray water bottle (optional)
- Jerseys, match cards, vest, players identity cards, whistle, pen,
- Coach/Manager Manual,
- Match ball.
Coach:
- Practice balls
- Bibs (if required)
At The Match:
Manager: Sit close to the centre line and wear the vest provided for identification. Check all players are wearing Club jerseys, shorts, socks and shinpads. SHINPADS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. Ensure that spectators adhere to the Codes of Behaviour.
Coach: Coach the team, adhering to the Codes of Behaviour. Ensure you rotate all your players in accordance to club fair game policy ie no child should sit of for entire half.
At Half Time:
Coach: Give constructive and encouraging support to the team.
Manager: Hand out oranges.
After The Game:
Coach: Hand out one Encouragement Award please ensure that these awards are evenly distributed to players throughout the season. One can always find something significant in the contribution that each player makes to a game of soccer. The award should not be given to the same, or consistently best player each week. Please note that these are Encouragement Awards.
Awards are in addition to this, and only to be handed out at home games, being one per game.

Manager: Collect all jerseys and arrange for them to be washed all together (suggest each family takes a turn alphabetically).We DO NOT ALLOW each child to retain and maintain a single jersey for the whole season.
The Match Card (for home games only) and the Match and Results Report (for all games) must be delivered to the Results Box at Lister Street. (Note: Most Important)

For Home Games: Referees are supplied for all home matches.
For away games: If referees are not provided, it is the responsibility of the Managers of both teams to agree on a person to control the match. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT ALL GAMES ARE STARTED AND COMPLETED ON TIME to ensure that subsequent games are not delayed. EVEN IF YOU START LATE, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE ON TIME.
